![]() ![]() Fortunately that isn't the case for images imported on a lower layer below your writing or image files used as a page template (background) which is probably more compact anyway if you optimize your PNG/JPG files carefully with something like TinyPNG.The built-in written note calendar is super cute and basically perfect for little notes each day. Only a few minor issues like single page PDF files replacing the entire background set without an option to turn that off and only apply to the current page. The full Notes app is amazing and highly upgraded. It is as fluid as any pen and really feels like ink in a lot of ways. ![]() Full access to Android Play Store without any fiddling around, super customizable screen settings, amazingly fluid and blazing fast writing experience. That writing experience: so good. It is THE pen based device you have been looking for. It was, pretty okay. The Boox Air C? It is nearly, nearly perfect. I started on an (old at the time) Compaq pen based Windows XP computer that just never quite could run the pretty-good-if-not-great Pen based version of XP at a satisfactory speed.A few years back I even tried a much earlier Boox device, the Book Note Pro. I really hope an optimalisation update is coming soon, as 3.3 is a noticable step down from 3.2.I have been buying and getting disappointed with pen based computers, tablets, phones, etc. If all that wasn't enough some of the features I actually used (backlight sync in particular) are straight up missing. ![]() The new UI elements are inconsistent with the rest of the system (rounded design as opposed to the geometric one), the text on some buttons is clipped and parts of words are moved to the second line, and the contrast on many third party apps is weirdly strong now making many of the darker pictures and videos almost black. This helped with the bugs, however I still think the device was better off before. Update: After hours of trying to fix it I just gave up and factory reset my device. Is there any way to downgrade back to 3.2?Īs a student I can't afford to wait another month for an update that may fix it. This combined with gestures not working in the Notes app makes the device pretty much unusable. It almost looks like the old X Mode from before the update. The default, non changeable settings makes the whole UI extremely blurry and unsharp. What really pains me is the complete removal of global ink center settings. But that isn't that much of an issue and probably will get used to it pretty quickly. While the new UI is nice looking, I find it to be slower to navigate than before. I recently updated my Note Air 2, but I must say I really wish I didn't. Note: NeoReader now still has the "Regal" mode. Regal mode is planned to be added back in V3.3.1, please wait patiently and choose the current refresh modes to use. Update: If you failed to switch the refresh modes by Eink center or built-in "Refresh" setting, please try to reset all app optimization in the app management, and then switch the refresh modes again. By clicking that option, you will be able to switch refresh modes in NeoReader.* In this case, please open a book in NeoReader, then click the center of the screen, and then click the menu button on the upper right corner, you will see a "Refresh" setting option*. Why can't I set refresh mode in NeoReader by Eink center? It says I need to use the built-in app refresh setting? You can access the Eink center in the control center, and then switch the refresh modes for the current app/interface.* In the new update, apps support setting different refresh modes*. How can I change the system refresh mode? By this means, you can add/remove/reorder the tiles of the control panel. Press the edit button on the upper right side of the control panel to edit the control tiles. Pull down the top of the left side to open the notification panel. Pull down the top of the right side to open the control panel. (Will keep updating if there are any new FAQs related to the latest V3.3) New Control Center Related: And if there are any other questions, you can ask under this post or you can send feedback on your device directly. While experiencing the new features, there could be some questions that will be asked. Some of the users might have already updated the latest V3.3. ![]()
